Enraged, the Heavenly Emperor parted ways with the Green and White Snakes. Seeking help from mortals and lesser immortals, he discovered that his authority in the human world had completely vanished, leaving him to fight the Demon Emperor alone. Moved by his determination, the people resumed their offerings to the Heavenly Emperor.
