His good friend Pai Gu persuades him to fight fixed matches for Jinbao Ge. Wenlong initially refuses, but when he learns that Pai Gu is about to become an unwed father and urgently needs money for marriage, he agrees. Wenlong encounters a mysterious girl who leaves an indelible mark on his life, yet to his shock, she vanishes during what should have been their most romantic moment. Disappointed in love and equally unlucky in the ring, Wenlong is encouraged by his sworn brother Jiao Pi to further his training in Thailand, where he eventually receives true teachings from a master of ancient Muay Thai.
