简介：There is a planet called 土豆星, whose inhabitants look largely similar to Earthlings. Potatoes are their only food, but annual production is declining. The king, 薯革, is puzzled. 土豆星 has discovered that Earth's 土豆岛 has the highest quality potatoes in the universe, but has never been able to establish contact with Earth.
A spaceship resembling a minibus crash-lands on 土豆岛. King 薯革 steps out and is discovered by 岚岚, the wife of the island’s party secretary, who is flirting with the village chief. 岚岚 has him arrested. She then contacts 包哥, hoping he can steal the alien and sell him for a high price while taking her off the island. To document every detail of the alien, the village chief summons his son 土鹏, a web series director, back to 土豆岛 to shoot a documentary. Through 包哥, 刘童 learns about the alien’s accidental landing on 土豆岛. Several factions arrive on the island, all scheming to swindle the alien.
In the end, kind-hearted 刘童 uses his intelligence and courage to help the alien obtain potatoes, and eventually leaves with the alien for 土豆星.
