Synopsis：In the winter of 1939, a regiment of the Eighth Route Army in the Shandong Military Region was encircled by the Japanese army. The special forces company suffered heavy casualties as they launched a fierce assault on the main hall. Following the assembly bugle call, they covered the main force's breakout, vowing not to retreat. Company commander Liu Shangzhi led 48 soldiers in a desperate counterattack, engaging the Japanese in a life-and-death struggle. They repelled multiple Japanese assaults and ultimately thwarted the enemy's scheme. All 48 soldiers died heroically, with no survivors.
