Synopsis：The story is set in the Republican era, when a strange case erupts in Linjia Town. Many townspeople suddenly become possessed, like zombies or wandering souls, controlled and drawn away by a mysterious force, vanishing overnight. To save the people, the town's night watchman, Shen Xiaohan, launches an investigation. Relying on the Taoist secret arts passed down through the night watchman lineage, he eventually finds and defeats Mr. Jiang, who has gone mad from refining snake gu. He rescues the townsfolk and once again upholds justice in Linjia Town.
