Synopsis：This film tells the story of a bizarre tragedy during the Republic of China era in a mountain village called Gushan Village, where the Yao family's daughter, Yao Xiu, was believed to have been bewitched by a Baipizi (white-skinned creature) and turned into a demon, leading to the massacre of her entire family. Years later, Yao Xiu returns to Gushan Village under the alias Lu Xiao'an to uncover the truth behind her family's murder. In the end, she cleverly sets a trap to identify the real culprit and exposes the illusion that Baipizi can possess and control humans, revealing that all feudal superstitions are mere rumors and legends.
