简介：During the Republican era, a young intellectual named Wu Wei, accompanied by his girlfriend and close friend, heads to the countryside for inspiration. They arrive at a remote town known as Puppet Town, where, arranged by the town head, they settle into the Huang Family Compound. The gloomy-faced butler of the compound leads them on a tour of the house but strictly forbids entry into a room on the third floor.
