Synopsis：Set in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, the Qing army and Zheng Chenggong’s forces, who sought to restore the Ming dynasty, were locked in a stalemate in southern Fujian. Pirates of unknown nationality, along with remnants of foreign forces, colluded along the southeastern coast, taking advantage of the chaos with the connivance and support of external enemies. They either plundered merchant ships at sea or harassed coastal residents, plunging the people into hardship and suffering. The film focuses on the story of General Lan Li (1647-1720) during the Kangxi era (whose life is recorded in the "Draft History of Qing"). It highlights his youth, where he strived to improve himself, honed his skills, bravely fought pirates, and joined the military to suppress rebellions. These experiences laid a solid foundation for his later rise to become a renowned general in Qing history, earning him accolades such as "God of War on Land and Sea," "First in Merit for Pacifying Taiwan," "His achievements etched along the copper-pillar coast, his military strategies long renowned," and "Brave, resolute, and unmatched in every endeavor."
