Synopsis：In a chaotic era of suffering, the Yizheng Pavilion sends assassins to hunt down corrupt officials. Mu Qing is the most trusted subordinate of the Pavilion Master, Lord Jue. But during one assassination mission, she encounters the kind-hearted low-ranking magistrate Hang Zhiyu, causing her to question her purpose in the Pavilion. She chooses to trust Hang Zhiyu and helps him evade the Pavilion's pursuit. However, the truth is eventually exposed. Lord Jue dispatches Qin Hao, Mu Qing’s childhood friend, to kill her. Qin Hao dies protecting Mu Qing, but reveals before his death that Lord Jue is actually the Grand Chancellor of the court. Meanwhile, Zui Lan, who has always been at odds with Mu Qing in the Pavilion, begins a relentless hunt for both Mu Qing and Hang Zhiyu. It turns out that the Pavilion’s initial assassination of Hang Zhiyu was meant to eliminate remnants of Prince Ning’s faction, but later the goal became obtaining a ledger in Hang Zhiyu’s possession—the evidence of the Grand Chancellor’s corruption. To protect Hang Zhiyu, Mu Qing is slashed by Zui Lan’s blade, which is coated with the world’s deadliest poison, “Three No Laughs.” With little time left to live, Mu Qing resolutely returns to the Yizheng Pavilion to fight Lord Jue to the death.
